Eli Yan

Yoga Trainer

Eli Yan is a dedicated yogi, dynamic movement and mindful wellness instructor. With a Master’s degree in Political Science and has a strong background in educating and one-on-one training. Has been working with people who have Autism, multiple Physical Dysfunctions, Identity/ Gender Crisis after moving to the San Francisco bay area, California. As a bilingual cross-cultural instructor (English and Mandarin), Eli is passionate about supporting people of all different backgrounds to enjoy physical and mental wellness through yoga and live life fully with mindfulness.

Eli took his first yoga class back in 2009 in southern China. Has become a steady Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga practitioner since 2014. His passion for yoga leads him to so many breathtaking destinations, from Bali to Koh Samui, from Rome to Barcelona, the international yoga retreat and workshop helps grow his practice and widen his horizon. In 2015 he finished the 100-hour Alignment based Hatha Yoga Training with Denny Chow and finished 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jennifer Prugh and Noell Clark in 2019 through Jennifer Prugh’s “Joy of Yoga” program at Los Gatos, California.

Eli enjoys working with beginners as much as with advanced yogis. He teaches the basic align movement with steady breath work, focusing on building muscular strength and mobility, he also helps skilled yogis to explore the ‘impossible’ postures in a protected and playful environment. Eli appreciates every chance of spreading the healing power of yoga, and he believes that every human being deserves and has the ability to live life with wellness and mindfulness.
